On Sunday 17 August, members and friends of the Coral Cove Golf Club were able to Tee Off for Breast Cancer Trials for the sixth time, an event close to the hearts of many members and their families.
Cameron Beames, senior development manager at Devcore Property Group, said the club and its members were proud to be involved in the event. “Breast cancer has touched the lives of many of our members, their families and communities all over. We’re proud to support breast cancer clinical trials research and to do this through a game of golf with friends,” Mr Beames said.
“We welcomed over 130 golfers playing on Sunday and the community visited Coral Cove Golf Club for raffles and opportunities to join in the fun on the day.
The timing to have so many visitors for a fun day of golf is perfect to coincide with the opening of the sales and information centre which is now open at the clubhouse entry.
The first land release in the new approved Coral Cove Ocean Estate Masterplan has almost sold out after a week with the next release coming soon.
Buyers have been a mix of local first home owners and downsizers and the availability of a mix of block sizes has been exciting for local buyers. Construction commenced on Friday 15 August following Bundaberg Mayor Helen Blackburn turning the first sod of the next stage of 72 lots.
Devcore Property Group managing director Paul Thompson said they were very excited to commence construction of their Village Precinct at Coral Cove Ocean Estate.
“The next stage will showcase a variety of lot sizes, products and price points for purchasers, giving new markets including local first home buyers and young families the opportunity to live on the coast,” Mr Thompson said.
“The Fairways Precinct was a great success and there are over 50 out of the 80 homes under construction with the Village Precinct offering the next opportunity to get in to a vibrant master planned community.
“We are very proud to open the new Sales and Information Centre situated at the front of Coral Cove Golf Club and provide a dedicated space for customers to talk through the masterplan, land releases, house and land packages from a variety of builder partners and ultimately selecting their future block.”
One of the Coral Cove Ocean Estate first buyers was Lachlan Stevenson, who having grown up in the area was looking for somewhere to invest and help him take the right step onto the property ladder.
Mr Stevenson said the area itself was just so beautiful, that he was committed to setting up his own future there and the estate was the perfect way to do that.
“While I may not be a pro, I love playing golf so appreciate having the course right there, but also the option of beautiful beaches close by and even the opportunity to snorkel at Barolin Rocks, so it really is the potential for a well-rounded lifestyle,” he said.
“I had been looking for a while for the ideal place and found the sales staff at Coral Cove Ocean Estate to be really enthusiastic, walking me through the master plan and showcasing the many developments and upgrades that will be made.
“As a first home buyer, I have been able to take advantage of the first home buyer grant which has definitely been a bonus and overall, it is great to see a real future for me here and have this lifestyle opportunity.”
